A new £145,000 skatepark has been officially opened in Epping.
The skatepark at the Stonards Hill recreation ground was opened by Epping Town Council after three years of planning.
The project was led by Betongpark and designed to suit all ages and abilities.
The skatepark includes equipment favoured by skateboarders and cyclists across the country.
The project was born following a request from skatepark user Arry West, and thanks to the support of Epping town councillors, some lengthy funding application work began.
Town clerk Beverley Rumsey said: "On behalf of Epping Town Council, I would like to thank Qualis for the £30,000 in Section 106 money for green spaces that demonstrated a commitment to such a facility and helped the town council achieve the balance of £115,000 from the National Lottery."
The skatepark was officially opened by Epping Town Mayor Councillor Cherry McCredie on Saturday, November 2.
