A MAN has died after sustaining serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash earlier today.
Essex Police was called to London Road, Ongar, at around 3.15pm following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.
Paramedics were also at the scene treating the 48-year-old motorcyclist whilst the police closed the road.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man died at the scene.
The force is now appealing for any witnesses to step forward and help with the investigation.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We have opened an investigation into the collision and officers want to hear form anyone who may have information that will help us.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage from London Road and the surrounding area at the time of the collision.
