EMERGENCY services have closed a section of a busy South Essex motorway following a crash – leading to delays for motorists.
Essex Police is currently at the scene of a serious collision on the M25.
Officers were called to a section of the M25 between junction 25 and junction 26 at around 2.15pm today, following reports of a collision.
The force is currently on the scene and is supporting other emergency services.
National Highways has also confirmed the incident, saying that the M25 anticlockwise between junction 27 to the M11 and the junction 25 to Waltham Cross is closed.
The collision is involving at least two vehicles, National Highways has reported.
Essex Police has said officers are working to reopen the junction as soon as possible.
The East of England Ambulance Service and Essex County Fire and Rescue have been contacted for a comment on the incident.
Update
One lane has reopened to allow traffic flow whilst emergency services are at the scene.
There is roughly four miles of congestion and 30 minute delays.
