A YOUNG woman has been left “seriously injured” after a collision at a pedestrian crossing.
A woman has been taken to hospital with severe injuries after an incident took place at a zebra crossing at the junction of Howard Way and The Stow, Harlow, on Monday afternoon at 12.40pm.
Essex Police closed the road and launched an investigation into the circumstances around the incident.
The force is now wanting anyone with information or dashcam footage to step forward to help with the investigation.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We believe a number of people may have witnessed the incident but have not yet spoken to us to provide an account.
“We’re appealing for them to please get in touch as soon as possible.

This is not the first time an incident at the zebra crossing has occurred.
On December 5 2022, a woman pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car whilst using the crossing.
The woman was also taken to hospital but for injuries to her ankle.
At the time a police investigation was launched and an appeal was carried out for more information on the incident.
