A WOMAN has been left with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash in the early hours.
At about 4.30am this morning, police were called to the scene of a single vehicle crash in Avey Lane, Waltham Abbey.
A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are believed to be life-threatening.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
The road is currently closed while Essex Police's roads policing officers carry out their investigations at the scene.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We are appealing for any information, witnesses or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision.
