A man has been arrested in connection with an arson attack in Harlow which left a man with burns to his hands and back.
Police were called to a wooded area of Wych Elm before 3am on Friday May 17.
It was reported a fire was started in the area, causing a man within a wooden shelter to suffer burns to his hands and back. He is being treated in hospital for his injuries.
The incident is now being treated as an arson and police have arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of arson endangering life.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The force wants to speak to anyone who may have been in the area between 1:30am and 3:30am.
