A series of activities have been taking place across the Epping Forest district to mark Dementia Action Week.
With a range of activities still yet to take place, there's been a focus on the importance of early diagnosis of dementia.
The awareness campaign started on Monday, May 13 and will run until Sunday, May 19.
Today (Thursday) sees the Action for Family Carers holding activity groups at Jack Silley Pavilion from 10am to 3.15pm, while an all-female puzzle club convenes at St James Church, Ongar, from 10am to 12pm.
Simultaneously, a dementia carers café and a friendly gardening club take place at St Clare Hospice from 10am.
The Memory Café at Lambwood Heights, Chigwell opens Friday the 17th from 12pm to 3pm.
The campaign calls on the government and the NHS to prioritise dementia in policy and decision-making.
