Students at The Ongar Academy recently staged a two-night production of Sparkleshark.
The play features teenagers portraying different stereotypes who find themselves atop a London tower block, spinning fairytale stories where each plays a caricature version of themselves.
The initiatory night's cast involved Year 7 students, followed by Years 8 to 10 on the second night.
Jake Robinson, the school's Head of Performing and Creative Arts, said: "I was very proud of all the students who took part, both on stage and those ensuring everything went well behind the scenes.
"The hard work which students had put in from September paid off as they produced two fantastic shows."
