A BELOVED TV presenter who was born in Epping will take over the reins of a long-running daytime programme from next month.
Ben Shephard, who was educated at Chigwell School, has been confirmed as one of the new permanent co-hosts on ITV’s This Morning.
The decision to bring in Ben, who has presented Tipping Point for ITV since 2012, was previously rumoured at the end of 2023.
It has now been reported by the BBC and other sources that Ben, alongside Cat Deeley, will be next to helm the show, which first started in 1988.
They are replacing Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who left last year.
Having already served as guest presenters on a rotating basis, Ben and Cat will now host the programme from Monday to Thursday beginning next month.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary will continue to present This Morning on Fridays.
