Harlow has celebrated its favourite businesses, people and places at the Harlow Town Centre Awards.
Recognising both winners and runners up for their contributions to the community, the event painted a vibrant picture of the enterprising spirit in Harlow's town centre.
Among the winners were 'Simply Brows And Beauty', recognised as both the 'Health, Beauty & Wellbeing Business of the Year' and 'Small & Independent Business of the Year'.
Couzens Bakery and Coffee Lounge' was celebrated as the 'Food & Drink Retailer of the Year', with the 'Marquee Models' winning the 'Best Shopfront or Window Display' recognition.
'Harlow Playhouse', which provides a programme of wide-ranging work across its 400-seat and 120-seat theatres, was named the 'Entertainment & Leisure Venue of the Year', while 'Harlow College' took home the 'Award for Environmental Excellence'.
'Streets2Homes', who work to prevent homelessness and support rough sleepers, took the trophy for 'Community & Voluntary Projects or Organisation of the Year'.'
The Sandwich Bar 1958' bagged the 'Award for Outstanding Customer Service', and the 'British Heart Foundation (Harlow)' was a Runner-Up for 'Volunteer of the Year'
'Rainbow Services (Harlow)', which offers support to voluntary and community organisations in the area, took top spot in that category.
Business owners were recognised too, with Tom Green from 'Varney Green Physiotherapy' being named 'Business Owner or Entrepreneur of the Year' and Danielle Brown from 'Beauty In Community' being declared the runner up.
Employee recognition went to Imad Addi at 'The Water Gardens' who scooped 'Employee of the Year' while Molly Andrews at 'Citizens Advice Harlow' was named runner up.
The 'Beryl Murphy' Manager of the Year award went to Michael Grace at 'Matalan The Water Gardens'.
The 'McBain's Award for Best Place in Town' was won by 'The Water Gardens', and the 'Retailer of the Year' was awarded to 'Scarlet Vintage and Retro'.
The council said: "A big thank you to everyone who attended, and a huge thank you to everyone who voted and those who sponsored the awards.
"Congratulations to the winners, runners up and all those nominated."
