These photographs of the cinema in Highhams Park are taken 80 years apart.
Originally built in 1911 as ‘The Highams Park Electric Theatre’. It was partly rebuilt in 1935, and given a modern Art Deco style facade and foyer.
The cinema closed in 1963 and was converted into a bingo club.
More recently, plans have been approved to redevelop the site with two cinema screens and residential apartments.
