Pictured above is Church Hill, Loughton, c1910.
Recently constructed houses on the right replaced an old house called ‘Uplands’ that was demolished in 1902.
The former gardens of the house are now occupied by a road of the same name.
All that survives from the old house is the Cedar tree on the right that is still visible today.
