A COUNCIL is undertaking a housing stock condition survey of properties it runs across Epping.
The inspections will include both inside and outside of homes.
Letters have been sent to the homes explaining inspections, although some notes might not arrive in time due to ongoing Royal Mail strikes.

Councillor Holly Whitbread, the cabinet member for housing, said: "We want to reassure residents that this is a legitimate survey being carried out on behalf of Epping Forest Council to help understand whether works may be required to maintain the standards of our council-owned homes.
"If you are not at home when a surveyor calls, they will leave a card asking you to make an appointment.
"I understand you may feel concerned about letting people into your home, and I want to reassure you that your safety is essential to us.
"If you have any concerns, please check the caller's validity with our contact centre."
Ridge surveyors will visit the district's homes typically Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm.
The survey should take no more than 30 minutes and include an inspection inside and outside; some photographs will be accepted.
If you’d like to make an appointment, contact Ridge directs at 0800 086 2743 or email survey@ridge.co.uk.
