A SECURITY supervisor for a Harlow shopping centre has been named employee of the year.
ASG Security Supervisor, Scott Wright, was awarded Employee of the Year at the Harlow Town Centre Awards 2022.
The annual awards recognise individuals and teams who make the town centre what it is and celebrate the diverse businesses and services on offer.
A shortlist of finalists is put to a public vote, allowing all the town's residents the opportunity to reward those they feel are deserving.
Scott was described as a "valued staff member" at The Harvey Centre for more than 20 years and is very much a part of the centre and the town itself.
Judges said he is always passionate about improving life for visitors and guests, going above and beyond what is required of him as a standard.
ASG soft services manager, Sarah Martino, said: "This award is so well-deserved.
"Scott leads from the front, shows great empathy and compassion and copes with all situations in a calm and professional manner.
"Always striving to do better, he is a fantastic role model with outstanding customer service skills."
As well as his role as security supervisor, Scott is also an artist, his most recent work is in commemoration of the late Queen, HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
He has also donated works of art to support charity days for Great Ormond Street hospital.
Deputy leader of Harlow Council, Dan Swords, praised Scott for his dedication, he said: "These awards are a popular celebration of the people, places and businesses who make up our town centre.
"Those people, places and businesses continue to be there to serve residents and businesses in these challenging times, and they will all have an important part to play in the town centre's exciting regeneration and renewal."
Harlow's shopping centre, The Harvey Centre, also grabbed an award for Environmental Excellence.
ASG is a leading, independent facilities services provider, offering essential support services from cleaning to security to organisations across the UK.
