Community organisations in Epping Forest have again teamed up to ensure no child living in the district will go without receiving a Christmas present this year – and you can play your part.

Voluntary Action Epping Forest has joined forces with Essex Police, United In Kind and Epping Forest District Council to run the seasonal community initiative for the third year running.

Last year, more than 90 gifts were donated to the Epping Forest Christmas Giving campaign, or purchased with crowd-funded money and distributed to children aged between two and 17. Children were referred by local schools and frontline children and family service providers, based in the Epping Forest district.

Local residents and businesses will again be able to support the scheme and donate a gift, or purchasing funds, in the following ways:

  • Donating to the Epping Forest Christmas Giving crowd funding page: https://wonderful.org/fundraisers/Rk8kn
  • Selecting and purchasing a gift from the Essex Police Amazon wish list page: https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/KL0T9Z0NR8OH?ref_=wl_share
  • Delivering an unwrapped gift to the reception desk at EFDC Civic Offices: 323 Epping High St, CM16 4BZ. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, before December 15, 2022

With the rising cost of living having an increasing impact on many household budgets, organisers hope the Epping Forest Christmas Giving scheme will be even more welcome with local families than in previous years.
