Businesses in Loughton are being challenged to show off their festive Christmas windows in a competition.
Loughton Town council is inviting all businesses to decorate their shop windows in a Christmas themed design, by December 1, to be automatically entered into a competition.
Windows will then be judged on visual impact, creativity, artistic merit, inventive use of materials, and effort across four entry classes, local/independents, chain stores, charity shops, and eateries.

Each winner will have the opportunity to nominate a charity to receive a £75 donation from Loughton Town Council and will be awarded an engraved cup to keep for 11 months, along with a framed certificate.
Town mayor Barbara Cohen and councillors Carol Davies and Stella Murphy will judge the competition.
