The Crown Inn at the junction of Old Station Road and Loughton High Road in the late 1920s.
The forecourt was once used as a bus terminus before a bus depot was built at the other end of the town.
The Crown was demolished in 1965 in favour of a parade of shops.
Lopping Hall can be seen in the background.
