A teenage boy has won a prize his efforts in encouraging more people to use cycling as a mode of transport.
For over a year, Zayd Moola, 15, from Waltham Forest, won a Jack Petchey Environmental Award for his work volunteering as a group leader and encouraging more people to take up the hobby and use it for travel.

Speaking about his award, he said: “It has helped me build my confidence, and I am able to stand out from the rest, knowing that I have achieved highly and, hopefully, it will influence others in my life.
“It is a proud moment for me in my career and education, and it has brought value and purpose to what I can achieve and become motivated.”
