A boxing club recognised dedication and achievement with awards in memory of some of its greatest members.
Epping ABC hosted its awards evening at Blakes Golf Course, North Weald, on September 10 to celebrate its boxers achievements over the past year and mark the start of a new boxing season.
Eliza Malik won the Ian McNorton Memorial Shield for Most Improved Boxer, awarded in honour of the late club secretary and Safer Epping Committee member.
Harrison McFaul won the Georgie Sparks Memorial Trophy for Endeavour. George was a Royal Marine from Epping who lost his life in Afghanistan in 2008.
And the Danny Linger Memorial Shield for Best Boxer of the Year went to Freddie Knitter, who became National Youth Under 81kg Champion at the beginning of the season.
Head coach Danny Spicer said: "“It was great to have an evening to celebrate some excellent achievements from the past 12 months. Eliza, Harrison and Freddie all truly deserve their awards. We are extremely proud of them along with every single boxer from our club
"Our boxers are training hard for this season, which I am confident will bring even more fantastic results."
