The Loughton War Memorial was unveiled on June 24, 1920 by Lord Lambourne.
The memorial stands on Kings Green in the York Hill conservation area next to what was the Kings Head pub.
It is a silent tribute to those members of the three armed forces who fell in the first and second world wars.
Floral tributes have been left at the memorial in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
