Residents in Epping Forest have come together to pay respect to the Queen following her death.
A floral tribute to Her Majesty was laid at Epping war memorial on the Town Green by Epping’s mayor Cllr Barbara Scruton.
Outside the civic offices, council staff and residents gathered to hear the proclamation of King Charles III and gave three cheers to His Majesty.
Mrs Rosemary Padfield, deputy lieutenant of Essex, said: “We come together this afternoon following the death of our late Sovereign Queen Elizabeth II.
“Our sadness at this time is shared by people across the globe as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by our longest reigning monarch.”
