3Food4U doesn’t just support the Epping Forest community with food and clothing. It’s a grassroots charity supporting the community with whatever is required in a humane, dignified and respectful manner.

In addition to free food, the organisation holds monthly free monthly NHS health checks, a job club, school supplies and sim cards, and memory cafes.

The charity is pleased to announce the launch of its third monthly community 3MemoryCafe4U in Chigwell Row.

It's open to anyone who would like to socialise, but particularly people with varying degrees of memory issues and those who love and care for them.

The sessions are activity based with singing, word games, puzzles, bingo and more with free light refreshments.

The café will meet for the first time on Monday, October 3 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at All Saints Church, Chigwell Row, and then on the first Monday of each month.

Jo Halls, a local resident, said: “This is a fantastic addition. Very well done to each and every one of you involved in this initiative, you really are wonderful! Thank you!!”

No booking is required and call 01992 842642 for further details and share with anyone that might benefit. The charity is also looking for volunteers to help deliver the service.

The other 3MemoryCafe4U are at Waltham Abbey on the last Friday of the month, from 2.30 to 4.30pm, and Ongar on the third Wednesday of the month, from 10am to 12pm

3Food4U is grateful to Stephen Selby and his band ‘Replay’ for organising a fundraiser for the charity recently which raised more than £1,100.

Whether it’s music, a quiz, a coffee morning, a sponsored walk or anything else, the charity would love to hear from anyone interested in organising a fundraiser.
