Keen gardeners were able to show off produce from their allotments at a horticultural show.
Loughton Town Council’s Horticultural Show returned after two years of absence due to the Covid pandemic last Saturday (September 3).
The event was open to any Loughton resident with an interest in gardening, baking and flower arranging.

Strict judging conditions decided the winners.
Freddie Sheridan won best in show for his ‘bug hotel’.
Over 200 allotments were inspected for the Town Mayor’s Best Allotment award, with prizes given out at the show.
Beata Sheridan, from the Roding Road Allotments, was the overall winner.
The mayor’s best newcomer award was won by Donna and Jeff Webb from Loughton Potato Ground.
All donations raised on the day went to 3Food4U.
