A volunteer group that catches dangerous speeders has found that drivers of black BMW and Mercedes cars are the worst offenders.
After recording more than 400 speeding offences in Loughton Way and Valley Hill, stats from the Buckhurst Hill Speedwatch group have concluded the two car brands were particularly likely to be caught speeding.
Across 28 checks, 435 vehicles were recorded exceeding 36mph in a 30mph stretch of road.

Group co-ordinator Simon Forsdyke said the fastest speed recorded was 57 mph, near The Monkhams.
The group have caught 12 drivers speeding twice between Loughton and Buckhurst Hill and in one session alone recorded 48 speeding drivers.
Parish council chairman councillor Ken Williamson offered the council's "huge thanks" to the Speedwatch volunteers and congratulated them on doing an "amazing job".
Buckhurst hill Speedwatch currently has 17 trained volunteers and is looking for more volunteers to help them identify and report speeding vehicles for a few hours on a regular basis.
