A bakery chain's latest branch featured a nod to a well-known naturalist.
Gail’s opened in High Street, Epping, this month – adding to the existing 79 shops across the UK.
The bakery moved into the former Next store that closed in January.
It opened its doors on July 14, offering a variety of baked goods and hot drinks.
The interior, designed by interior architecture company Object Space Place, features butterflies and was inspired by famous entomologist Henry Doubleday, who was from Epping.
Doubleday spent his life collecting natural history specimens and as a result Gail’s looked to his work for subtle butterfly details, including coat hooks and joints in the timber counters.
