Chingford Green c1905. The boys stand posing with the backdrop of fine houses facing the green.
Today the green is a conservation area and was designated by the Borough of Waltham Forest in 1990, owing to its special architectural and historic interest, as an historically important local centre within the borough, containing a mix of buildings dating from the early-modern period onwards, including seven that are listed.
