A new £76 million motorway junction has been opened following the completion of one of the largest highways infrastructure projects in Essex.
The M11 Junction 7A development, opened to traffic June 10, allows access to Harlow and included widening and improvement for Gilden Way.
Original planning permission for the M11 Junction 7A scheme was granted in July 2017.
Work on the scheme began in summer 2020 and was undertaken by GRAHAM construction.

A link road connecting Gilden Way to the junction via new roundabouts was also constructed.
The opening was marked by a 5K fun run on June 9.
National Highways Regional Delivery Director Matt Stafford said: “The road is a vital link for work journeys, visits to friends and family, and the movement of goods and services between London and East Anglia.
“A huge amount of work has gone in to get to this point and I am delighted to see the last piece of the jigsaw put in place with the opening of this new junction.”
