Golfers raised enough money in one day for a hospice to care for a patient for more than three weeks.
More than 100 players turned out for Epping Rotary Club’17th annual fundraising golf day in aid for St Clare Hospice at Saffron Walden Golf Club on May 19.
The event raised more than £15,000 – enough to pay for the care of a patient with complex conditions on its inpatient unit for 23 days – and raising the total raised for the Hastingwood-based hospice over the years to almost £200,000.
