A man has been charged by police investigating a spate of knifepoint robberies.
Essex Police say a number of incidents took place in Harlow town centre on Wednesday March 23 between 4pm and 8pm.
The nature of the incidents prompted officers to be given additional stop and search powers after a section 60 order was granted.
Investigations into the robberies have been ongoing and police say a man was arrested on Thursday.
Essex Police confirmed this morning that a man has now been charged with a number of offences connected to the robberies that took place in Harlow on Wednesday.
- Rudy Junior Bagalo, 22, of Stagden Cross, Basildon, has been charged with three counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery, fraud by false representation, assault and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
