The largest emergency food agency in Epping Forest is providing another new service for the community by opening a new job club.
3Food4U’s pilot initiative, organised by careers advisor Stephen Selby, will operate on a weekly basis on a Tuesday (except the first one of each month) from 11am to 12.30pm at Loughton Club, 8 Station Road IG10 4NX.
The club will provide support with CVs, application forms, identifying employability skills, interview preparation and helping to develop communication skills and confidence.
It will assist with basic computer skills, careers advice and provide access to a laptop and printer.
The club is open to the public, whether you need food support or not, but booking is advised by calling 01992 842642.
Another of 3Food4U’s community partnerships that has proved successful has been with PROVIDE, offering free monthly NHS health checks in Loughton and Ongar to service users, volunteers and the wider public.
This service is now expanding to Waltham Abbey where a monthly session will be held at the charity’s community hub, starting on Monday from 10am to 2pm.
3Food4U has a Fundraising page at https://www.stewardship.org.uk/pages/3food4u
