A dispersal order was put in place in Harlow following concerns about a large car meet and vehicles racing.
More than 100 vehicles gathered at junction seven of the M11 and congregated in car parks off Edinburgh Way.
There have also been concerns about vehicles racing along Velizy Avenue and as well as anti-social driving.
A dispersal order was put in place at 10.15pm on Saturday, February 12, and was removed at 6am the following day.
It covered River Way, Church Langley, Old Harlow, and Harlow Town Centre.
Inspector Tony Short said: “This order has been put in place due to concerns about dangerous and anti-social driving.
“The large number of vehicles means there will be significant disruption to people living in the area.
“Our first priority will always be to public safety and this meet poses a risk to that. Residents should also not be subjected to this kind of noise nuisance and anti-social behaviour.”
