On January 27 I am holding an online Holocaust Memorial Day event via Zoom for residents who are unable to attend a physical memorial event due to work or perhaps even isolation.
We will hopefully be joined by a number of local speakers. It will be a time of reflection and remembrance. Rabbi Brandman will be present at the service.
You do not have to be Jewish to attend (I am not). The day is about remembering the dreadful atrocities that occurred and making sure that the memory of those who suffered is kept alive.
Many of you know I am a local parish councillor in Buckhurst Hill and a founding member of a local Holocaust Educational Memorial Trust. This is not connected to the trust or the local council. This is also not connected to my own political party. I have organised this on my own accord as a local resident who believes this day must not go unnoticed.
Please email me at gavin.chambers-training@outlook.com if you would like to attend at 5pm on Thursday, January 27 where I will look forward to greeting you. This event will not be longer than 50 minutes.
