Police investigating the suspected murder of a man in Harlow believe it was a "targeted attack".
A man in his 20s was found fatally injured at an address in The Hides, shortly before 5.40pm yesterday (November 8).
Essex Police previously stated the the person responsible left the address between 17:40 and 17:55.
The force said there was a possibility that the person responsible had also sustained injuries or looked like they had been involved in an altercation.
Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Ant Alcock said they had "already made good progress".
He added: "We are building a picture of the circumstances which led to this tragic incident".
"At this stage we believe this was a targeted attack and there's no wider risk to the public.
"I need anyone who was in the area between 15:00 and 18:30 yesterday to contact us."
Updates to follow.
