A suspected murderer is still on the loose after a man was found fatally injured at an address in Harlow yesterday (November 8).
Police confirmed no arrests have been made and the person they believe to be responsible left the address in The Hides between 5.40pm and 5.55pm.
Senior investigating officer detective inspector Julie Gowen said: “There is a possibility that this person may have also sustained injuries or look like they have been involved in an altercation.”
Chief inspector Paul Austin confirmed there will be a large police presence in the area over the next 24 hours with additional officers on patrol.
Essex Police have now confirmed it was a "targeted attack".
Officers were initially called to reports of a "disturbance" in The Hides shortly before 5.40pm yesterday.
They found a man in his 20s injured – who was pronounced dead at the scene.
DI Gowen explained officers are in the early stages of an investigation and are “working to build a picture of what happened”.
She added: “There will continue to be a visible police presence in the area throughout today so if you have any concerns or any information please come and speak to one of our officers.”
