A storage company is urging people to donate good quality, unwanted coats as part of the Rotary Club’s ‘WrapUp Essex’ campaign to keep homeless people warm during the winter.
This winter will mark the 10th year the company Safestore have supported the campaign which has collected over 179,547 coats since the partnership began in 2011.
The public can donate their unwanted coats at various drop off points across the store’s Epping branches.
Coats will be donated to over 100 charities, homeless shelters, vulnerable women and children centres, elderly people in need and refugees.
Shahid Kadodia, Digital & Marketing Director Safestore comments: “After a very tough 18 months, we recognise that there will be many people who are in a vulnerable position particularly as the winter season draws near.
“We’re delighted to be helping WrapUp Essex again this year as they work hard to provide comfort and care to those in need.
"Donate a coat, warm a heart."
Members of the public can donate coats during the store opening hours, Monday to Saturday until November 24.
