Essex Police granted officers powers to move people on from a neighbourhood last night after reports of ant-social behaviour.
The dispersal order was put in place in Theydon Bois just after 8pm on Halloween (October 31) and lasted until 8am this morning.
There were reports fireworks were being thrown towards members of the public.
A map published by police showed the dispersal area was around the village green on Coppice Row, shops, and near the Underground station.
Essex Police said the order was granted following concerns about anti-social behaviour in the area with officers allowed to move anyone on who was suspected of causing problems or being disruptive.
