A Firework and bonfire night event will be held in Harlow Town Park on Sunday 7 November following last year’s event being cancelled due to covid restrictions.
To kick off fireworks night- which will be free entry, the Harlow Playhouse stage will entertain crowds from 5.45pm.
The lighting of the bonfire will take place at 6.45pm, followed by the fireworks display at 7pm.
Councillor Joel Charles, Deputy Leader of the council, said: “As Covid restrictions around gatherings and outdoor events have been lifted, the council has decided to move forward with plans to hold fireworks night once again in the Town Park.
“Fireworks night is one of the town’s most popular community events – thousands of people head to the Town Park to see the display. I am delighted that preparations are underway for the event.
“Although the council is planning to hold the event in its usual size and format, preparations this year will be different and a more cautious approach will be taken than normal to safeguard public health as much as possible."
Leading up to the night the council will be watching both the local and national Covid situation closely and will update residents on any change.
