AN annual summer show event has been hailed a success by organisers and councillors.

The 2021 Toot Hill Show was held on Saturday August 7 and saw plenty of family fun. The annual horticultural show has been held since 1953.

Ongar and Rural County Councillor Jaymey McIvor has praised all involved in the successful execution of the 2021 Toot Hill Show.

From the competition entries in the main tent to the main arena with entertainment there was something for everyone.

The show included stalls run by businesses in Ongar Rural and across Essex.

Epping Forest Guardian:

Mr McIvor said “This year’s Toot Hill Show was a fine example of our community at its best, not only because of the great show of local people supporting the event but the great variety of interesting stalls.

“From Essex business Alpaca Hire to the Epping Ongar Railway to Essex’s most exciting new business, Pot Luck, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing from people who have used the last 18 months to set up businesses which have blossomed into bigger businesses.”

“It was wonderful to see these businesses making the most of showcasing their work from a field in Ongar Rural.

“Visitors were also able to meet parish councillors at their interactive stall and it was great to meet several residents whilst I was enjoying the event.

“Whatever your role at the Toot Hill Show, whether as an organiser, stall holder or attendee - thank you for all you have done to support our community.”
