A bowls club is appealing for new members interested in learning the sport.

Epping Bowls Club celebrated the launch of the 2021 season on Saturday April, as special guests Epping town mayor Cllr Grahame Scruton and his wife Libby declared its 110th season open.

After the ribbon was cut, the Mayor fired bowls across the green to try his skills before members enjoyed their first roll up of the season.

The club, based in Lower Bury Lane, ensured regular and safe play for all members and this season will see a return to friendly competition against other clubs.

The club is keen to recruit new members for this season and is holding ‘come & try’ days on Sunday April 25 and Sunday May 9 from 10.30 to 3.30pm.
