British comedian Jimmy Jones has praised King George Hospital after his overnight treatment.
The 83-year-old comedian said he was looked after as if he was “royalty” following a routine ENT (ear, nose and throat) procedure to pin a pocket in his throat.
He explained that before the visit to the hospital, he was nervous about coming in after shielding so long during the pandemic.
But now he said: “The staff went out of their way to relax me and I can’t sing their praises enough.”
The comedian, who lives in Upminster, continued: I’d been self-isolating during the pandemic, so I was nervous. However, everyone in the hospital was wonderful and made me feel reassured and safe.”
Following the second wave of the pandemic, many routine services have been reintroduced, including planned surgery.
The hospital is actively encouraging anyone with symptoms of any illness to get medically checked.
