Chingford Station was built in 1878 at the end of the line. This picture from 1882 shows a triumphal arch to mark the occasion of Queen Victoria’s visit to relinquish the Royal Forest to the people and spoke those famous words to "dedicate this beautiful forest to the enjoyment of my people for ever".
Here is the station today.
