A district councillor has been selected as the Green Party candidate for Epping Forest in the upcoming General Election.
Cllr Steven Neville, who represents Buckhurst Hill East ward, is currently Leader of the district council's Green Party group
He was also the first Green elected onto Epping Forest District Council in 2014 who has since successfully campaigned, for step-free access at Buckhurst Hill Underground Station.
The Green Party councillor also successfully proposed a motion to the District Council to declare a Climate Emergency and reduce there of single-use plastics.
Cllr Neville said: "I am delighted to be selected as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Epping Forest in an important election.
“A Vote for the Greens is to say yes to dealing with the climate crisis, yes to a people's vote on the deal, and no to cuts to our public services.
“I promise if elected will an Independent voice and I will vote and speak on behalf of residents in Epping Forest in the House of Commons."
